L’UNICORNE was founded by Vitaly Barinov in 2007. The company began its journey by delivering exclusive goods and providing high-level concierge services for affluent clients in United States, Russia, and the Europe. Within just two years, L’UNICORNE became one of the key partners of the international British concierge company Quintessentially.

While working with clients, it was often noted that some, inspired by the famous Cartier talisman, wished to own a live leopard at home. That was when L’UNICORNE came up with the idea of offering a safe alternative — the rarest cat in the world, the Savannah F1.

Within just two years, L’UNICORNE became one of the key partners of the international British concierge company Quintessentially. During client interactions, it was repeatedly noted that some, inspired by Cartier’s iconic exotic cat motif, wished to have a live leopard at home. That was when L’UNICORNE came up with the idea to offer a safer alternative — the rarest cat breed in the world, the Savannah F1.

2009 — Opening of the Cattery

L’UNICORNE opened the first cattery in Russia specializing in breeding Savannah F1 cats and domestic servals. The official launch of this new venture took place in the summer at the 2009 Summer Millionaire Fair, where it became a true highlight of the event.

2010 — New Ventures

As the client base expanded and business connections strengthened, the company launched consulting services in marketing, IT, and management.

2015 — Exotic Cat Center

L’UNICORNE began actively supporting the nonprofit project Exotic Cat Center Knyaginichevy, spanning more than 8,000 sq. m. The goal of the project was to create the most comfortable and natural conditions for the rehabilitation of exotic cats that had found themselves in difficult situations.

2017 — Legislation

L’UNICORNE founder Vitalii Barinov initiated the development of regulations for keeping exotic animals and proposed a ban on certain species in apartment buildings. He was officially included in the working group of the Department of Environmental Management under the Moscow Government.

On April 18, 2017, the Moscow City Duma passed this legislation.

2020 — The Beginning of MonPet Development

Building on its international experience and deep expertise in the pet industry, L’UNICORNE identified a number of systemic challenges faced daily by pet owners, breeders, and veterinarians.

To address these issues, the company, together with professional veterinarians and IT specialists, began developing the innovative MonPet and Monifico platforms, powered by its proprietary MonAI technology. More than $1.4 million of the company’s own funds were invested in the project — all to make pet care smarter, more transparent, and accessible to everyone.

2025 — Launch of MonPet Website

We launched the official website monpet.com and introduced MonCard sales to support the project, helping accelerate platform development and attract the attention of everyone who loves animals — pet owners, professionals, and those who simply care.

MonPet is a platform where people come together to build a better future for pets worldwide.
